THE OLIVER DC
The Oliver is a mixed-use development located at the northern gateway to Howard University. The property will feature 93 residential apartment units and over 40,000 square feet of commercial space.
The apartments will be designed to seamlessly accommodate working from-home. Features include built-in desks in the residences, conference rooms, work nooks, banquette seating in the lobby, and high-speed gig-E internet throughout. Amenity space will boast a penthouse lounge with city views. The building’s office space will be occupied by Howard University’s Department of Alumni Relations and Office of Communications.
Construction will commence in March 2022 and is scheduled for completion in 2024.
Parcel 42
Irving Development, in partnership with Dante’s Partners, will develop a 10-story building located at 1707 7th Street NW. The structure will include 110 apartment units and retail spaces. 108 of the units will be affordable, ranging from 30% to 80% of AMI.
The ground-floor retail space is envisioned to include public access to a lounge-like lobby during the day, similar to The Apollo on H Street. The building will also include a fitness center, lounge/coworking space, a residential bicycle room, and 18 surface parking spaces.
The exterior building materials include HardiePanel with a woodgrain design, and the triangular parcel across the alley will serve as a public space with a 60-foot long art installation.
