Art Purchasing & Installation

Irving Development commissions artists worldwide by purchasing and installing innovative public art in and around Washington, DC with the support of Percent for Art. We promote the installation of art in schools, parks, recreation centers, government buildings, and more across the city’s eight wards. 

Artist Commissioning

We believe in diversity in the selection of artists and in the images portrayed by artists. Our goal is to support artists by helping them share their creative work. With The Percent for Art program leading the selection process, we work together to play a vital role in educating, uplifting, and inspiring the public through art.
